Rock Raceway Race Results

A very windy Rock Raceway on Saturday, but non the less that didn't stop "The Ultimates" from doing what they do best and that is to RACE...

Not quite a full count this week, 10 "Ultimates" and 1 guest driver "Das vd Merwe" nr 23 from Welkom took to the track. A few of the cars had some maintenance that needed to be done. Jacques Roos was flying again in his fathers nr 0y Sprint, lifting those wheels high again Jacques, what an awesome display of power! Jacques won Heat 1 , 2, and the final... Well done Jacques!!! Vim Newman short on his heels showing that he has what it takes, and Vernon Newman a well deserved 3rd place, you guys rocked. Action packed racing was the norm for the night as usual.

"The Ultimates" did something on Saturday that has never been done in South Africa before... We put the first in car camera's into two cars and it was a great success the video footage is excellent, look out for the video on our website soon. We are busy upgrading the sight to accomodate the video clips that we will be taking from the drivers point of view so you as the fans can see what it feels like and looks like in the cars. We had one camera in the winners car Jacques Roos and there was two camera's on Vim Newman's car one to the front and one to the back. These video clips will be available for purchase on the DVD's that Oosie sells at the track. Next race there will be at least six cameras in the Sprint cars.

The next race event will take place in Richardsbay on the 31st of October and that will be the Final of the WOMSA Nationals for "The Ultimates" This will determine the WOMSA champion.
