About The Ultimates
In April 2008 a couple of guys who loved the sport, decided to take sprint car racing to a new level. This was done by buying 8 cars from the U.S.A. After that, things just got bigger and is growing by the day.
Currently The Ultimates have 19 cars in their group.
In Oct and Nov 2008 "The Ultimates" competed against some U.S.A drivers to promote Sprint Car Racing in South Africa. It was a great success. Our plan for the 2009 season is to run 18 events on various tracks in and around Gauteng. Check our events calender for further information.
Our main goal is to continue giving the Sponsors, Promotors and the Fans the best show on tar.
Open wheel Sprint Cars are truly unique, fun, and exiting racing machines. Fans of all ages are drawn to them for their aggressive and colorful styling, powerful sound, high speeds, and close racing action. Sprint Cars are lightweight by design, but strong enough to withstand the most abusive accidents. Most often the drivers walk away untouched. Their racing skeleton is made up of strong, durable metal tubing which forms the base for their aerodynamic body panels. These panels are molded to fit the Sprint Cars frame and attached to prefabricated brackets. The most recognizable parts of a Sprint Car are their sharp, angled top and front wings. They provide downforce for more speed and options for setup during tough and changing track conditions. Truly Sprint Car racing is growing in popularity! A motorsport originating in the USA is already making its way into other countries such as Canada, Australia, new Zealand and South Africa. Attend a race, take a walk through the pits and observe as the drivers prepare the cars for an exiting night of racing. See for yourself why people around the world are catching the spirit of a motorsport that thrives on exitement in the round!

Thank you to eveyone who helped to make this event posibble and a huge success... A big thank you to the two guys from USA that raced with us it was such an honour to race with you! Both the USA racers will surely be back in the future to race again.
Very exciting racing was had by all and the spectators loved it. A special thank you to JJ !! You are wonderfull singer! Thank you for singing the two National Athems so beatifully! We all enjoyed it so much...

Ultimates Sprints challenge 2 USA Champions

We are so excited!!!!! We have two USA drivers visiting South Africa and we are going to race with them at The Ultimate Raceway in Vereeniging on the 7th of January 2012.
The two drivers are: Brian Lay from Ohoi in USA. Brian has been here to SA to race 4 times before and is looking forward to this upcoming event. Brian has been very successfull in his racing career in the States. Brian has changed from tar Oval racing to Dirt racing in the States in the last two years. Brian will be racing in Adriaan Van Zyl's car.
Tony Hunt is the second driver coming to SA and has never raced here before. Tony will be racing Kallie Newman's car. We are so lucky to get Tony Hunt to race with us. Tony is a 6 x USAC Champion in USA. He lives in California, and is very excited to race with us. To have such a great Champion on our tracks is an honour!
Tony Hunt will have T-Shirts and Caps and lots of exciting goodies available for purchase at the race. So make sure you get yourself a item or two from this legendry driver!
